Lee Surveying
and Mapping Co., Inc. was incorporated on January 3, 1996, with three owners, Jeffrey I. Lee, P.S., William K. Bruce, P.S.
and Jeffrey D. Woods. Mr. Woods retired from the company in early 2001. Mr. Lee retired in December of 2006. This corporation
is the expansion of Lee Surveying and Mapping Company, that was started in Waverly, Ohio about 1953 by James E. Lee, P.E., P.S., and was moved
to Bellefontaine in 1975 by Clayton M. Lee, P.S. William K. Bruce, P.S., is a registered Professional Surveyor in the State of Ohio since 1992. He attended Ohio
State University and started his surveying career with
Page Engineering in Marysville, Ohio
in 1981. He joined Lee Surveying in 1992 and became a partner with the firm 1996.He is an active member of the Professional
Land Surveyors of Ohio, and had served as the Treaty Lands Chapter Representative to the PLSO Executive Committee for several
years.
Currently, Mr.
Bruce is the president and owner of the company.
Presently
Lee Surveying and Mapping Co. Inc. averages 17 employees. The company currently
runs four survey field crews. The crew chiefs each have an average of 8 years experience in responsible charge of boundary/topographic
surveys and construction layout. The two draftsmen in the company have over 20 years of experience between them. The entire
operation is computerized from field to mapping with modern electronic equipment. The
present company emphasis is on land development and planning which naturally includes boundary retracement, topographical
mapping, construction layout, mortgage and ALTA/ACSM title surveys.
Historically,
Lee Surveying and Mapping Company has specialized in construction surveying from topographical pre-design surveys through
to final staking and as-built surveys. Our projects have ranged from single family
residence units to schools, hospitals, retail facilities, factories, and large warehouses.
